Please join us for a Grief Retreat at Lewis Hall Friday evening May 16th 6:30-8:30 and Saturday May 17th, 9:00-4:30.
There are very few spaces where we are invited to experience and express the many dimensions of grief, personal as well as planetary.
The retreat will be facilitated by Jean Berolzheimer, an experienced grief tender who has trained with Francis Weller. Jean received lay ordination as an interfaith chaplain from Roshi Joan Halifax at Upaya Zen Center.
Our work together will be based on Weller’s book, The Wild Edge of Sorrow, as well as Joanna Macy’s teachings on The Work That Reconnects. The retreat will include journaling, poetry, song, movement and ritual to honor our grief. A small donation will be requested to cover expenses.
More details will follow soon. To reserve your spot, please email Jean at or text 206 307-6674. There will be a sign-up sheet at church each Sunday.
