Approaching Presence with Mindfulness and Prayer

Daniel Shkolnik quotes the Persian poet Kabir, “I laugh when I hear that the fish in the sea is thirsty,” and notes, “Are you thirsty for the divine? The sacred? The clear light of awakening? All around you, the world is wet with it.” In this season of dark and long nights, we will practice becoming present through mindfulness and prayer, opening and leaning towards an experience of sacred presence in all things.

This Sunday is our Non Profit plate collection date. We will be collecting funds for MECA, Middle Eastern Children’s Alliance. Please bring cash or a check made out directly this organization. Thanks in advance for putting your faith into action by supporting this organization!
